In terms of salary, the gift was in excess of her economic capability. In addition, she couldn’t give something of equal value in return, which made her feel pressured.
She always believed that sincerity is the nutrient to cultivate relationships, so she expressed her true feelings to her boyfriend, and he showed a total understanding and respect.
