much less ,still less 引導(dǎo)的詞組或者從句，表示一種追加的否定，所以這兩個詞組只能用于否定劇中。需要指出的是，to say nothing of ,not to speak of ,not to mention ,let alone 這四個詞組的意思也是“更不用說”，表示一個追補的說法，但他們與much less和still less 有所不同這些詞可以前一句的意思而定。前一句是肯定意義，則追加的就是肯定意義，如果前一句是否定意義，則追加的就是否定意義,如:
