一、比較結構的關聯詞（一）

1、It is not that .. but that 這并不是說...而是說

　　類似　“　It is + 真實主語 that + 謂語 ” 強調句型
這里也有強調的意思，區別是，這里強調的是 與另一種觀點不同 。

2、nothing else than ... 完全是，實在是....

'It is nothing else than a blackmail.'
譯文：>這簡直是敲竹杠

3、as 引導的特殊狀語從句，翻譯時做定語從句處理

We hope the measures to control prices ,as they have been taken by the government ,will succeed.
譯文：>我們希望政府已經采取的控制物價的措施能夠取得成功。

4、"名詞 + or + 名詞" 結構

or后面的名詞是同位語，應譯為"即...或者稱..."

5、more than 的三種譯法

than 連接肯定形式的從句時，該從句譯為否定句；在比較的基礎上表示選擇關系時，可以為“與其說...不如說...”；進行同類比較時，譯為“比...更...”。

6、no more ...than...與not...any more than...

當與同類事物進行比較時，譯為“不如...”
與兩個句子進行比較時，譯為“正如不....，...也不...”
The food on the ship was no better than on any other ship.
譯文：這條船上的食物不如那條船上的好。

7、not so much ... as ... 與其說...不如說...

Science moves forward ,they say ,not so much through insight of greate men of genius as because of more ordinary things like improved techniques and tools.
譯文：他們說，科學的發展與其說是源于天才偉人的真知灼見，不如說是源于改進了的技術和工具等更為普遍的東西。

8、the same ... as ...與...相同

You have made the same mistake as last time.
譯文：你犯了一個跟上次一樣的錯誤。

9、no less than (no less ... than ...)不亞于；簡直是（不但...而且...）；

連接兩個并列成分，信息中心在前，因此漢譯時要倒過來譯

There were no less than one thousand people at the meeting .
譯文:到會的有一千多人

China insists always on the need for self-reliance,no less in economy policies than in making revolution.
譯文：中國始終堅持自主獨立，不僅在改革上，在經濟政策上也是。

10、...other than ...不是...正是...;除了...之外，不會是....

other than 為固定結構，一：“而不是”，二、“除了”
可以插入名詞，譯作“與...不同”

Reaction other than the desire one often occurs when reactants brought together.
譯文：當這些反應物被放在一起時，常發生一些我們不希望的反應。

Other women than Sally would have said nothing.
譯文：除了薩利，別的女人就什么也不說了
