Nowadays there are still many behaviors against public morality, such as spiting or littering in public places, cutting in line, wasting water or electricity and so on.

One of the main reasons for these immoral behaviors is that some people lack personal manners and public consciousness. Actually these small things in many peoples eyes have brought great bad effects on our community. Above all, these immoral behaviors disturb social order and disrupt socialsbility. Moreover, ones violating public morality not only evades others benefits but also does harm to himself. For example, if most people buy pirated products, those original producers will suffer great damage and might lose the enthusiasm to continue their producing. Which in turn, influences consumers taking the profits into consideration, I think it is high time that we would take more effective measures to improve public morals.

First of all, education plays a very vital role. We must utilize education to make people know their behaviors influence on the society and follow public morals consciously. Besides the government should improve the administration system and ensure the efficient improvement of administration measures.

To witness immoral behavior in public， one need only visit the Beijing subway. I still remember the first time I took the Beijing subway. It was an early morning. I was in a hurry to go to school. When I was trying to get a ticket， I found a lot of people waiting in front of me， but nobody was in the line.

Immoral behaviors in public initiate a series of problems. One of the most serious ones is that it may exert a negative impact on our sense of social responsibility. We will keep ignoring other people’s rights and feelings， and in turn， we too will be disrespected some day.

The reform of this phenomenon is certainly not easy. With an eye on practical implementation and cost effectiveness ， I propose that society make it clear in every way that people who fail to respect the common good will be seriously punished. Stricter policies for this should be made to correct this phenomenon as soon as possible.

as analysts have figured out, this trend of degradation mainly originated from faulty education. for decades, chinese schools simply infuse bookish knowledge to their students, whilst moral cultivation becomes a kind of formalism; on the other hand, children are naturally influenced by their family and other adults in the society, most of whom are too sophisticated to be considered as eligible moral models.

facing such disappointing condition, you may ask: how can things become better? as far as i am concerned, we must following these three steps. first of all: self-shaping. we should manage ourselves well, and try to shape our own morality as perfect as possible. the second step: family-shaping, which is to behave as the model for your children and improve their moral status through strict discipline. the third: organization-shaping. if you are leading people, such as being a manager or national president, you could reinforce your whole organization’s moral situation with policy and your own action. even if you’re no leader, you’ll have a positive impact on the society if only you manage yourself well and try to influence others as much as possible.
