說(shuō)白了，寫這文章純粹是為了下個(gè)學(xué)期六級(jí)準(zhǔn)備的，過(guò)了一個(gè)大學(xué)一年，英語(yǔ)啥的都忘記的差不多了，能做到的只有先把高中英語(yǔ)詞組撿起來(lái)，然后認(rèn)真準(zhǔn)備考試，接下來(lái)就是準(zhǔn)備考研了，俗話說(shuō)ACM+英語(yǔ)一起抓，考試ACM都不誤(emmm，本人xjb扯淡的說(shuō)法，如有雷同，純屬巧合)

下面給出我每天的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)筆記貼一下：

EveryDay：

abandon sth./doing sth.放棄某事/做某事

abandon onself to sth.完全屈從于(某種感情或沖動(dòng))

with abandon 放肆地

Why is the ability to get on with people important?與人相處的能力為什么那么重要？

But the most wonderful thing with/about Jack was his musicial ability.但是杰克最棒的是他的音樂(lè)才能。

ability for/in some work.做某項(xiàng)工作的能力

ability to do sth.做某事的能力

to the best of one’s ability.盡某人最大努力

用ability表示干某事的能力,后面只能接不定式,而不能用of doing sth.結(jié)構(gòu)

The young girl shows considerable ability in/for organization.這位年輕的姑娘頗有組織能力。

At an early age,she showed a talent for music.很小的時(shí)候她就表現(xiàn)出了音樂(lè)天賦。

The concert was performed by a violinist of unquestioned competence but limited imagination.這位演奏協(xié)奏曲的小提琴家毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)是有能力的,但缺乏想象力。

be able to do sth.能做某事

By the time he was 14,he was able to play the guitar and piano.14歲的時(shí)候，他就能彈吉他和鋼琴了。

An able lawyer made an able speech.一位有能力的律師發(fā)表了一篇出色的演說(shuō)。

在shall,will,have等詞后，只用be able to.

Will he be able to speak English in another few months?再過(guò)幾個(gè)月他就會(huì)講英語(yǔ)了嗎？

He has not been able to escape yet.他還沒能夠逃脫。

be able to可與情態(tài)動(dòng)詞(can除外)或助動(dòng)詞連用，而can則不能。

Will you be able to come here tomorrow?你明天能來(lái)嗎？

He must be able to use the foreign language,forgetting all about his own.他必須能夠在運(yùn)用外語(yǔ)的同時(shí)，忘掉自己的母語(yǔ)。

be able to接不定式時(shí)，只能接肯定的、主動(dòng)的不定式，不能接被動(dòng)的不定式。需要時(shí)可由can代替。

表示過(guò)去做某樁具體事情的能力時(shí)，不可用could，應(yīng)使用was/were able to.

用于請(qǐng)求許可時(shí)，只用can不用be able to，can意為”可以”，相當(dāng)于may

Can I open the window?我可以打開窗戶嗎？

用于表示給出許可時(shí)，只用can不用be able to，can意為”可以”，相當(dāng)于may(這時(shí)不能用could,might)。

Could I use your pen?我可以用你的鋼筆嗎？

Yes,of course you can.(不說(shuō)you could)可以，當(dāng)然可以。

You can play with your friends when you’ve tidied your bedroom.整理好你的臥室你就可以和你的朋友們一起玩耍了。

inability無(wú)能，無(wú)力/disability缺陷，障礙/enable使……有能力，使……能夠

A traffic accident disabled the man,so he is disabled and has disability to live as a normal person,but his strong will enables him to live on.Now though he is unable to walk,he is able to walk in his wheelchair and work ably.一次車禍奪去了那個(gè)人的能力，因此他殘疾了，沒有能力過(guò)正常人的生活了，但是堅(jiān)強(qiáng)的意志使他能夠繼續(xù)生活下去。他現(xiàn)在雖然不能行走，但能坐輪椅走路，并且有能力地工作。

Peple who knew Leonard told the police that there seems to be something abnormal about his personality.認(rèn)識(shí)萊昂納多的人告訴警方，他看起來(lái)性格反常。

He noted that a dish in which he was trying to grow bacteria for experiment looked abnormal---there was blue mould in it.他注意到一個(gè)他試圖培養(yǎng)實(shí)驗(yàn)用的細(xì)菌的碟子看起來(lái)不正常---里面有藍(lán)色的霉菌。

All aboard!請(qǐng)大家上車/船/飛機(jī)！

be about to do sth.正要/即將做某事。表示時(shí)間比較緊迫，常與when(這時(shí))連用，由于詞組中已有about，句中不能再加上at once,immediately及表示具體時(shí)間的狀語(yǔ)。be not about to do sth.意為不愿做某事。

What/How about……?......怎么樣？

We were about to leave when it started to rain.我們正要離開，突然下起雨來(lái)。

I don’t about admit defect.我還不想認(rèn)輸。

be going to do表示根據(jù)個(gè)人的愿望/打算要做某事，還可表示預(yù)見，即根據(jù)已有的跡象推斷將來(lái)或即將發(fā)生的某種情況。

I’m afraid I’m going to have a cold.我恐怕要感冒。

It’s going to rain this afternoon.今天下午要下雨。

be to do.表示按計(jì)劃即將發(fā)生的動(dòng)作。

The road is to be completed next month.這條路將于下月完工。

He is above 15,but he depends on his mother for everything.他都已經(jīng)15歲多了，但什么事情還是靠他媽媽。
