1、Everyone Has a Story in Life(每個人都有自己的故事)

A 24-year-old boy seeing out from the train's windows shouted, "Dad, look the tree are going behind! ". Dad smiled and a young couple, sitting nearby, looked at the 24-year-old's childish behavior? with pity, Suddenly he again exclaimed(呼喊,驚叫), "Dad, look the clouds are running with us! ". The couple couldn't resist and said to the old man, "why don't you take your son to a good doctor? ". The old man smiled and said, "I did and we are just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth. He just got his eyes today."

Every single person on the planet has a story. Don't judge(斷定,判斷) people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.

The girl looked up at her mum for a few seconds, then suddenly took a quick bite of one apple, and then a quick bite of the other. The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment. Then the little girl handed one of her bitten-into(咬過的)?apples to her mum, and said: "Here you are, Mummy. This one is much sweeter."?

"I am right here, " the voice said, "under the apple tree. "

"Who are you? " asked the little prince, and added, "You are very pretty to look at. "

"I am a fox, " said the fox.

"come and play with me, " proposed(被提議的) the little prince. "I am so unhappy."

"I cannot play with you, " the fox said. "I am not tamed(馴服,服從). "

"Ah! Please excuse me, " said the little prince. But, after some thought, he added:"What does that mean - 'tame'? "

"It is an act too often neglected(被忽視的), " said the fox. "It mean to establish(建立,確立)? ties(關系,束縛)."

  "To establish ties? "

"Just that, " said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. Gratitude and giving thanks is really one of the most powerful things you can practise every day, if you are committed to achieving anything in life. It's no secret almost all truly successful people talk about the power of gratitude. It's that feeling of being blessed(祝福;神圣的). It's getting grateful(感激的) with those things you do already have that attract(吸引,引誘)?more great things into your life and really just give you the drive(驅動力,強烈欲望) to get more, to go out and work for more. When I write down what I'm grateful for, it's always for things money can't buy. You know, thank you for my drive. Thank you for my mental strength. Thank you for giving me the courage not to give up, all those times when it seemed impossible when I know 99% of people would have given up. Thank you for giving me that strength. Thank you for the character(個性,品質) to keep going for months, for years and years without any progress until I turned it around. Thank you for my health! Thank you for my family! You see, these are my real blessings(祝福). Money is easy. It's easy to make, it's easy to spend. And when it comes to the end, we can't take any of it with us. "That is all of the time you have left in the world, son. Use it wisely(聰明地,正確地). " And indeed(事實上,的確) he did. As the watch ticked away, the boy, now a man, lived life to the fullest. He climbed mountains and swam(游泳) oceans. He talked and laughed and lived and loved. The man was never afraid, for he knew exactly(完全的) how much time he had left. Eventually, the watch began its final countdown. The old man stood looking over everything he had done, everything he had built.?

5 He shook hands with his old business partner, the man who had long been his friend and confidant(密友).

4 His dog came and licked(舔) his hand, earning(賺) a pat(輕拍) on the head for its companionship(友誼,友情).

3 He hugged his son, knowing that he had been a good father.

2 He kissed his wife on the forehead one last time.

1 The old man smiled and closed his eyes.

Then, nothing happened. The watch beeped(嘟嘟響) once and turned off. The man stood standing there, very much alive. You would think that in that moment he would have been overjoyed(極度興奮的). Instead(相反的), for the first time in his life, the man was scared(害怕的).

So what I feel like saying in those moments is, you know, any young woman who is ever been put down by a teacher or a friend or even a parent, just don't listen to any of it, because that's what I did. I didn't listen and I kept on going, and I overcame(戰勝,克服) all of my fears, and I got over a lot of insecurity(心神不定). And just keep doing it and keep believing in yourself. 7、Life Tips by Marilyn Monroe (笑對人生的瑪麗蓮?夢露)

This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends — they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything — they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them — actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soulmate(知心朋友) .You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and aways, always, always believe in youself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.

You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, and the conversations(交談,會話) you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a collective of every experience you have had in life. You are every single day. So drown yourself in knowledge and existence(存在,生活方式). Let the words run through your veins(條理,風格) and let the colours fill your mind.

詞匯短語:

  engage in :?參與

9、If You Asked me why I Like You, this is What I'd Say. (我愛你,因為你就是你)

I like you because a simple message from you turns my whole day around. I like you because you have me re-reading(重讀) our recent messages when we aren't talking, smiling as if it's the first time I'm reading them. I like you because actually(事實上) reading your messages for the first time has me subconsciously(潛意識的) beaming(喜不自禁) for minutes uncontrollably(控制不住地). Even when I'm in public. I like you because while we have a lot in common, we still have plenty of differences that we find interesting enough to explore(探索). I like you because you have passion(激情). And you have dreams and because you inspire(激勵,鼓勵) me to follow, and reach(抵達), my own. I like you because you are creative, you have a way with words and you have brought out a side of me what I thought was long lost. I like you because you date(約會) me. You plan surprises and always put the most effort into pulling them off. You're always coming up with fun ideas and activities for us to enjoy. I like you because since meeting you I have been so happy that it is honestly physically uncomfortable. You give new meaning to the term having feelings for somebody. Going weak at the knees has become a very real problem. I like you because you're intelligent(聰明的). You're curious and you know a little bit about everything. Your wit(才智) and wisdom is endlessly(不斷地) fascinating to me and I could listen to you chatter away for hours. I like you because you are clumsy(笨拙的) and a little awkward(尷尬), but you never try to hide it. You are one of those rare(少數,稀有的) people who are purely and simply, unapologetically(不認錯的), them. I like you because my goodness, you are so cute. You are the perfect combination(組合) of handsome(英俊) and cute. It is lethal(致命的). Your eyes. You smile. I could go on. And on. I like you because I knew from the moment we met you would become someone I could trust with all my heart. I am content being completely vulnerable(易受傷害的) and truly myself with you. I like you because we both fell into this liking of each other with no warning, no notice and no expectations of what might happen. I like that we are both happy living in this moment. I like you because you look at me. When I am talking, you are looking into my eyes. When I'm worrying about whether or not I have food on my face you look at me like I'm beautiful, and I believe you. But I like you because, most simply, you are you.
