在服務器中裝Windows 2003 server EE R2版系統后，安裝VMware server 2.0，右鍵點擊安裝程序后選擇run as，程序啟動，進度條走到頭就報error: the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation（系統管理員設置了系統策略，禁止進行此安裝）。百度、google該錯誤得到的結果大都是：由于軟件第一次安裝后沒有卸載干凈，造成第二次安裝時留有上次安裝信息，從而產生該錯誤。但我的系統是剛剛裝好，同時其他軟件都沒有安裝，第一次運行VMware server 2.0就會出現這個錯誤。

從錯誤信息來看，個人覺得應該是Windows 2003 server安全性要求比較高，對某些安裝在策略上進行了嚴格設置。但從執行過程來看，登錄用戶為administrator，而權限上并沒有限制。策略的具體怎么設置我又不是很清楚。繼續google。這次搜到VMware的官網中的解決方案：

Click Start -> Control PanelOpen Administrative ToolsOpen Local Security SettingsClick Software Restriction PoliciesIf no software restrictions are defined, right click the Software Restriction Policies node and select New Software Restriction PolicyDouble click EnforcementSelect "All users except local administrators"Click OKReboot the machine然后右鍵run as（修改本地安全策略后，我忘記重啟機器，不過也正常安裝了），安裝程序啟動，進度條走到盡頭，Welcome界面， 至此即可在Windows2003 server中成功安裝VMware server 2.0。
