Abstract:For microstrip antenna with the disadvantage of narrow frequency band, based on the -3dB beam width in height is from 0 to 12 ,-10dB beam width in height is from 12 to 65 , total height coverage is 65 , the center frequency is 9.05GHz cosecant squared beam forming requirements, this paper designed a wide band rectangular microstrip patch antenna array with the cosecant squared beam . The simulation results show that the optimized antenna unit's feeder could effectively improving the bandwidth of the antenna and the array antenna with this unit could achieve precise shaped-beam, it meets the design requirements of the cosecant squared beam forming.The microstrip antenna array can be applied to the design of navigation antenna.
